Ioannis N. Miaoulis
President of Roger Williams University
Science curricula in most K-12 schools worldwide still focus solely on the natural world, ignoring the engineered, human made world. With the beginnings of the STEM movement in the mid 1990’s efforts started to include engineering into the K-12 curriculum but this effort is by far not completed yet. Dr. Miaoulis will present the rationale of strengthening the E of STEM, the history of the effort, and his hopes for the future.
